Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Supr ("Supr", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Supr mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). Supr is a car spotting app that lets you photograph vehicles you find, save them to a personal collection, and optionally share them with other users.
The short version: we collect what we need to run the app and show your spots. Photos and optional location tags are the core of the product, so they are stored on our servers. We do not sell your personal information, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time by emailing collabs@prayerlock.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. The identifier you sign up with, such as an email address, plus a username, profile photo, and bio if you add them.
- Photos and camera access. Supr requests access to your camera and photo library so you can capture or upload pictures of the cars you spot. We only access the specific photos you choose. We never scan or upload your camera roll in the background.
- Spot details. The information you attach to a spot, such as make, model, year, color, notes, and tags.
- Social activity. Comments, likes, follows, and reports you submit, so the community features work.
- Support messages. If you contact us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.
Location information
- Supr may ask for location access so you can tag where a car was spotted and browse spots near you. Location is optional. You can decline it, and the app will still work for saving spots to your collection.
- We only use location while you are using the app. We do not track your location in the background.
- Photos you upload may contain embedded EXIF location data from your camera. We strip precise EXIF location from images before they are shown publicly.
- When a spot is shared publicly, we display an approximate area rather than an exact address. You can remove the location from any spot at any time.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Screens opened, features used, and session length, used in aggregate to fix problems and improve the app.
- Device and diagnostic data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and crash or error logs.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your contacts, microphone, or health data.
- We do not track your location in the background or when the app is closed.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross app behavioral advertising.
2. Public content and license plates
Spots you choose to share are visible to other Supr users and may be visible publicly. Do not upload photos or details you are not comfortable making public. We ask that you avoid posting readable license plates, house numbers, or anything that identifies a vehicle owner or their home. We remove content that does on request. If you believe a spot exposes your private information, email us and we will review and take it down where appropriate.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including storing and displaying your spots.
- To create and secure your account and sync your collection across devices.
- To power discovery features such as nearby spots and feeds, where you have granted the needed permissions.
- To send transactional messages such as sign in codes, receipts, and important service notices.
- To send notifications you have turned on, which you can turn off at any time in the app or in iOS settings.
- To moderate content, prevent abuse, spam, and fraud, and keep the community safe.
- To diagnose crashes and improve performance and reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, your consent where required, such as for camera access, location access, push notifications, and optional analytics, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Other users. Your username, profile photo, and any spots you publish are visible to other users of the Service. Spots you keep private stay private.
- Service providers. Vendors who process data on our behalf under contract, such as cloud hosting, image storage and delivery, database, authentication, email delivery, crash reporting, and analytics providers. They may only use the data to provide services to us.
- Payments. If you make a purchase, it is processed by Apple through the App Store or by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
- Legal reasons. When we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in control of your personal information.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, including your uploaded photos, within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it longer for legal, tax, accounting, security, or fraud prevention reasons. Backups are purged on our normal backup rotation.
7. Your rights and choices
- Permissions. Grant or revoke camera, photo library, location, and notification access at any time in iOS Settings.
- Access and portability. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction. Update inaccurate or incomplete information in the app or by contacting us.
- Deletion. Delete individual spots, or your whole account and data, from within the app, or by emailing us.
- Objection and restriction. Object to or ask us to limit certain processing.
- Withdraw consent. Turn off location, notifications, or optional analytics at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Non discrimination. We will not deny you service or charge you a different price for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any right, email collabs@prayerlock.com. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Security
We use industry standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit over TLS, encryption at rest for stored data and images, access controls limiting who on our team can reach production data, and regular review of our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at collabs@prayerlock.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers out of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
11. Third party links
The Service may link to third party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
